Since I’m still fairly new to Latchet, I thought I'd share a glimpse of my sewing studio. As is common with crafters, it is only this cleared of projects and ideas when posing for the internet. I have 2 sewing machines and an embroidery machine. When I don’t need fancy stitches, this 1950s era Singer I inherited from my grandmother is my go-to machine. No electronics to malfunction or plastic to break, just solid, sturdy metal that keeps doing its job year after year and project after project. Do you have a favorite tool for your hobbies or work?

I've made it to the time of the year where most of my efforts are going to holiday marketing and planning for next year. Though those tasks can still be creative exercises, they aren't as much fun as sewing new products. I look forward to resuming fun sewing in January. However, I have been able to sew a little this week on the donation project I make for a local ministry. Hopefully, you're all smiles about your holiday shopping progress, but if you're like me and are "not so good" check out the Seams Joyful collection!

Happy Thanksgiving from Seams Joyful! This Thanksgiving may your table be full of food, your heart full of love, and your mind full of good memories of the past as you make new memories for the future.
Seams Joyful has lots of gift options available for the children on your shopping list this holiday season. For babies or toddlers there are blankets, sleeper sacks (pajamas), plush toy sets, and cloth books. For school age children up through some teens there are marble mazes (fabric fidget toy), themed tic-tac-toe games, and bookmarks. Seams Joyful also has unique stuffed animals in a variety of prints and animal styles such as cats, bunnies, whales, turtles, and more.
Not much going on in the shop this week since much of my sewing time has been spent on a donation project. I sew small purses from upcycled materials that are included in Christmas stockings that are given out as part of a mission trip for a local church. I've been busy trying to get ahead for next year's project. Just a reminder as we progress into November that I do have several holiday pieces available, including ornaments, lap quilts, and stockings.

I enjoyed my booth at Novemberfest this past Saturday. I sold a few pieces, had good camaraderie with the other vendors, and made some good connections within the community. This week I’ve been working on a sewing project for a local church mission team I partner with. As you start looking for gifts and stocking stuffers, keep in mind Seams Joyful has several fabric toys and games available. Have a great week!

Welcome to Seams Joyful! I am excited to be participating in my first vendor fair in over a year this Saturday (11/1) at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Zachary, LA. There will be a dozen new items not yet listed online including the Christmas stockings shown. Like all Seams Joyful products, these new items are one-of-a-kind, single productions. Hope to see you Saturday!
